Sport Aviation Magazine September-01 & October-01 The Vimy was featured on the cover of the October 2001 issue of Sport Aviation, along with a test pilot report inside that issue. There was also a brief story about the Vimy in the September 2001 issue. June-01 You can find an article about the Vimy's appearance at Airventure Oshkosh at http://www.airventure.org/2001/news/vimy.html. The article includes some history of the Vimy, as well as two photos. Last year some Airventure fans may recall that the Vimy was scheduled to appear but never made it. There were some gearbox problems back then that have since been repaired. The Vimy has completed several test flights and is running well. The Vimy Project staff has every intention of getting the Vimy to Oshkosh for this year's festivities. June-00 The Vimy was mentioned again in Sport Aviation magazine, the publication of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). The June issue, pages 58-59, provides information about some of the special planes appearing at AirVenture in July. There's a photo of the Vimy, along with a two-paragraph description of the plane and its achievements. May-00 The Vimy is featured as the cover story in the May 2000 issue of Sport Aviation Magazine, the magazine of the EAA. The article, which has plenty of photographs, was written by Peter McMillan, John LaNoue, and Mark Rebholz. It provides a wealth of information about the Vimy, including how it was built and details of its two trip recreations to date. April-00 The Vimy was mentioned in a 1/3 page article on page 13 of EAA's April 2000 "Sport Aviation" magazine. The article included a photo by Patty Rebholz (pilot Mark Rebholz's wife), mentioned the "National Geographic" article (in the May 2000 issue), and this Web site.
